Society of Nepalese Surgeons in America

Connecting, developing and advancing surgeons of Nepali origin across the United States, and giving back to surgery in Nepal.

Why SONSA

Nepali surgeons in the US have no society of their own, until now.

~2,500Nepali physicians practicing in the US
60+Nepali-origin surgeons and trainees identified so far
24States they work in

ANMA, ANPA and ANMF serve Nepali physicians across all specialties. None is dedicated to surgeons.

Surgeons of Nepali origin share a bond with surgery back home, and the skills to strengthen it. SONSA brings them together to teach in Nepal, meet as a community and build research that matters to both countries.

SONSA is the surgical home, a partner to those organizations, not a rival. Every surgical specialty is welcome.
